a shared file. messages stay. a court still decides.
read it like a file
Built for a clear record, not casual chat.
Four things the iPhone app keeps. Nothing here is a promise that a court will use the file.
Messages stay as you sent them
Before you send, the app can point out shouting or blame. You can still send. After you send, neither parent can edit or delete that message. You can see when the other parent opened it.
A PDF your lawyer can check
The download includes a short code. Anyone with the code can use Check an export on this website, with no account. It shows when the file was made and how many messages, events, and expenses were in it. It does not open the PDF, so it cannot tell if someone changed pages later.
Calendar, handoffs, and expenses
You share parenting time, school, and medical dates. On a pickup you can note arrived, child handed over, and left. Expenses can be approved, questioned, or marked paid, with a receipt.
One price for both parents
$19.99 a year, or $2.99 a month, after a 7-day free trial. One payment covers both parents and a lawyer who only looks. Reading the record and downloading the PDF stay free. Sending messages and adding events or expenses needs an active plan.

Messages, calendar, and expenses
What the iPhone app does today. A court still decides whether to use the PDF.
Messages that stay put
The app can point out shouting or blame before you send. You can still send. After you send, neither parent can change or delete the message.

- A nudge if a schedule or money note is in the wrong conversation
- Press and hold a message to save it for your lawyer

A PDF you can hand to your lawyer
Save specific messages, note a pickup, and download one file. A court still decides what it will look at.
Save messages for your lawyer
Press and hold a message to save it with others for your lawyer. You do not have to print every conversation.
A nudge to the right conversation
The app can warn you if a schedule or money note is in the wrong conversation. You can still send it.
A lawyer can look, not talk
Invite up to five people to read the case. They see counts and open disagreements. They cannot message you, and they do not pay a second plan.
Agreements you both accepted
When you both accept a schedule change or an expense, that agreement is listed in the PDF.
Anyone with the code on the PDF can check it here. No account. This page does not open the PDF, so it cannot catch pages changed later.

Honest limits build trust
Separated parents have heard a lot of promises. OnRecord keeps a record. Here is what we will not claim to do.
Your co-parent has to join
The shared record needs both parents in the app. If they refuse, OnRecord cannot invent their side. If a court order names another app, use that app. We include sample order wording a lawyer can edit. It is not legal advice.
We do not stop harsh messages
We keep what was sent, with the time. We do not block, delete, or rewrite the other parent's messages.
Not a lawyer, therapist, or the police
This is a record-keeping app. It does not give legal advice, and it does not promise a judge will accept the PDF.
We do not text your co-parent for you
We do not send text messages for you. Both parents use the iPhone app, or you download what you have for your lawyer.
FAQ
Questions co-parents ask
- How much does OnRecord cost?
- $19.99 a year or $2.99 a month for the case. One payment covers both parents. New plans start with a 7-day free trial. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. Making a case, inviting the other parent, reading, and downloading the PDF are free. You need an active plan to send messages or add events and expenses. If you cannot afford it, email support@onrecord.app. A person reviews each request.
- Will a court accept OnRecord?
- We do not know, and we will not promise that. The app keeps times and messages that neither parent can edit, and you can download a PDF. A judge in your case decides what to look at. Ask your lawyer.
- What if my co-parent will not join?
- Then you do not have a shared record. If your court order names another app, use that app. A lawyer can use the sample order wording in the app. That wording is a starting point, not legal advice.
- Does OnRecord stop mean messages?
- No. It keeps them, with the time. It does not block or delete what the other parent sends.
- Can my co-parent use this without the app?
- No. We do not text or email them for you. Both parents use the iPhone app.
- What does the code on the PDF do?
- When you download the PDF, OnRecord saves a code and a fingerprint of that download. Anyone with the code can open Check an export on this website and see the case name, who exported it, when, and the counts. The website does not open the PDF, so it cannot catch pages changed later. It is not proof a court will accept the file. onrecord.app is not this website yet. It still shows a placeholder page.
- What is the warning before I send?
- It points out shouting, blame, or a note that may belong in another conversation. In the app this is called Record Check. You can still send. It does not block the message.
- Is OnRecord a replacement for OurFamilyWizard?
- Only if your court lets you choose. If the order names OurFamilyWizard, use OurFamilyWizard. When you can choose, OnRecord is an iPhone app for messages that stay as sent, a shared calendar, shared expenses, and a PDF, for $19.99 a year for both parents. Published OurFamilyWizard prices for two parents were about $220 to $600 a year as of October 2026. Check their site for today's price.
- Is this on Android?
- No. OnRecord is iPhone only right now.
